Time for some pillow talk! If you’re anything like us, patterned pillows are something of an obsession. They’re the easiest and most non-committal way of adding a pop of color and experimenting with print mixing in a room. Still intimidated by the thought of combining florals with chevrons? Not to worry – we’ll show you three easy ways to mix prints, colors and textures with pillows from our current pillow event!
Even pillows in neutral hues can (and should) be interesting. The Nyssa Pillow has a raised lattice that gives it texture, while the Umatilla and Sherwood Pillows showcase geometric prints in contrasting palettes. Pair either with the Nyssa and you’ve got one chic and timeless pillowscape.
Here we decided to up the ante and mixed in a bit more pattern and color. If you’re hesitant to mix too many colors, try a pillow with a subtle pattern that highlights one color (like our Maitland Pillow) and find another pillow whose pattern that picks up that color. It’s an understated, yet on-trend way of adding depth and interest to your favorite reading spot or your bed. Plus, the vibrant citrus hue and romantic scrolls add a summery feminine touch – the perfect mid-season update!
If you’re feeling adventurous, try mixing several bold patterns. Here we’ve paired a 70’s-inspired chevron pillow with a vibrant floral medallion and another with a similar zig-zag pattern. By keeping the palette similar across all three styles with shades of brown, cream and splashes of orange, the patterns mesh in perfect design harmony.
